Yoga With Littles classes are now offered at various locations throughout Monmouth County including Atlantic Highlands, Belmar, and Red Bank.
These Mommy + Me Yoga classes are designed with both mothers and little ones in mind.
Babies and toddlers benefit from an early introduction to mindful movement, stretching, and socialization. Mothers benefit from stretching, breathing, and taking time for self care while bonding with their little ones and connecting with other moms of little ones.
How old do babies need to be to come to class?
There is no minimum age requirement for the baby yoga classes. We recommend starting as soon as mom feels up to it! The classes are very easy going and you do everything at your own pace. We have had babies as young as 5 or 6 weeks in past classes.
Do I need to bring anything to class?
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, and a blanket for your baby to lay on for the baby yoga classes. Extra mats are available to borrow if needed.
My toddler is very active and I'm not sure if they will sit still for yoga. Can they still come to class?
We don't expect your little ones to stay perfectly on task during class! Toddler classes look very different from typical yoga classes and there is space built in for your little ones to play, move, and explore. Trust us... they won't be the only ones on the move, and all are welcome!
Do you allow drop ins?
We recommend signing up for a full class series when possible. Babies and toddlers learn best from the repetition and routine of coming to class week after week. They start to pick up on the different warm ups and activities that we do each week and it's really rewarding to see.
That said, if you are unable to commit to a full class series, we do allow drop ins as long as the class isn't full.

After becoming a mom in 2015, I felt a strong calling to connect with other moms about the ups and downs of new motherhood. Becoming a mom was the best thing that ever happened to me, but it was also the hardest thing I'd ever done. Nobody talks about the huge identity shift that happens when we become mothers, and I found myself searching for a way to reclaim a new sense of self in the middle of this drastic life change.
I started teaching mommy + me yoga classes from my own experience as a new mom. After having my daughter, I found that many of the classes offered were all about the baby, and very little about the moms. I remember leaving classes thinking, "what about me?" I wanted to stretch, move, breathe, and have fun too... but it felt impossible to do these things with a baby attached to me.
So, I created Yoga With Littles classes to be a safe space for both mothers and children... a place where you can bond with your little ones, but also get some much needed "me" time.
Our classes and programs allow both moms and littles to make new friends and you will connect with other moms who understand your wins and your challenges.
